Getting a great acoustical response by treating your room

Keep in mind when popular brands had to be flown out of town just to record some billion dollar recording amenity built on various acres on land? They had rooms big enough to record a complete symphony orchestra and had excellent sounding natural echo and room response while adhering to the noise dB level chart.

Most of the studios these days have either closed down or downsized due to the home studio revolution. All across the world, people are starting to understand that they can make top quality recordings in the convenience of their own homes, provided they invest sufficient time in the gear, technical knowledge and software when it comes to NVH automotive.

Recording is still an art that should be learned and honed, and that is why there are commercial project studios and big studios that exist till this day. For the recording lover or musician, there is no better way to get your feet wet in the recording industry by applying for an apprenticeship at the commercial studios. But what if you are a hobbyist or casual musician who does not want to become a full time engineer? Maybe setting up a small home studio with acoustical solutions is for you!

The sound absorption sheets and similar products can be found all over online, with an affordable package and bass traps costing a bit under a thousand dollars. It is arguable that spending a considerable amount to treat your room for neutrality will be even more advantageous than purchasing a single piece of costly recording equipment as no matter what happens, your environment will always impact what you are hearing, and if you listen to your recordings in an inferiorly treated ambience, you are less likely to get a precise and good sounding blend.
